Students of Institute proposed the renovation projects for city quarters in the center of Wroclaw (Poland)

From 11th to 18th of October 13 students of the Institute of Earth Sciences SPbSU under the guidance of lectures Andrey Zinovyev and Kira Morachevskaya visited the University of Wroclaw.

Institute of Earth Sciences of St. Petersburg State University is a partner of the University of Wroclaw in student exchange project "Transformation of Urban Space in Wroclaw and St. Petersburg: a comparative assessment". The project is financially supported by the Centre for Polish-Russian Dialogue and Understanding.

During the visit, students were introduced to the scientific and educational activities of the University of Wroclaw, visited the main attractions of Wroclaw and Lower Silesia region of Poland, and also took part in the research activities: studied the characteristics of the spatial structure of the city and building types of Wroclaw in different historical periods. Students developed their own urban renovation projects for city quarters in the historic center of Wroclaw.

In late October, the project will continue in St. Petersburg – the Institute of Earth Sciences will host a visit of students group of the University of Wroclaw.
